Town of Innisfail

Discovery Wildlife Park

See monkeys, bears, tigers, jaguars, wolves, raccoons, squirrels and more up close at this unique family-owned and operated wildlife park, which provides a permanent home for animals that cannot be returned to the wild. Learn about the animals and develop a passion for conservation with daily presentations.

Daines Ranch Rodeo

The annual Innisfail Professional Rodeo (June 17-19) at the Daines Ranch is a three-day event that showcases the talents of some of rodeo’s toughest competitors. You’ll see the best bucking stock in Canada and the top cowboys and cowgirls in four professional rodeo performances. There are also beer gardens and live music.

Innisfail Golf Club

Tight fairways winding through rolling hills and wooded areas make up this challenging 27-hole par 72 championship golf course. There’s a pro shop, practice facilities and a fully licensed clubhouse on site.

Historical Village

The Village is made up of eighteen historical buildings that are furnished to interpret the history of the area up to the 1930s. There’s also a large display of farm machinery and a day use picnic area. Kids love the ice cream parlour where you can purchase ice cream at historically low prices,  just $1 per scoop.

Gleniffer Reservoir

About 20 minutes west of Innisfail, this provincial recreation area has a campground next to a reservoir that’s excellent for power boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and wind surfing. Anglers enjoy excellent fishing for northern pike, walleye, whitefish and some brown trout. Star gazing is excellent here.

Dr. George Kemp House

Built in 1893 by Dr. George Kemp and his wife Barbara, this lovely home is a registered provincial historic site. Dr. George was the surgeon for the North West Mounted Police. Mrs. George designed the Alberta provincial crest. The home also housed the province’s first natural museum.

Jungle Farm

Pick your own produce, enjoy a fall festival and purchase some locally grown plants and flowers at this site. There’s a general store and in the fall there are plenty of other attractions, including a corn maze, bale maze, pumpkin slingshot, farm animals, 60-foot slide and wagon rides.
