The log house with its sod roof is a handcrafted replica of a 17th century farmhouse from the Numedal District in Norway. The museum houses a growing collection of antiques and replicas of items used by Norwegian immigrants. Courses are offered to the public in Norwegian arts, crafts, and cooking. A small “Butikk” sells crafts, books, and many gift items, as well as traditional Norwegian cooking equipment. Open year-round Wednesdays 9 am – 3 pm. Extended hours during the summer season.
