Goldeye Centre

Goldeye Centre is a secluded education and retreat facility located inside the first range of the Rocky Mountains, in the towering pines above Goldeye Lake (about 180 km west of Red Deer on the David Thompson Highway #11).

In 1958, the centre was conceived as a venue for The Co-operative Youth Program which was administered by REDA (Rural Education and Development Association), now ACCA (Alberta Community & Co-operative Association), and staffed by volunteers, many of whom were employees of our principal members. Any group with an educational mandate or purpose would find the Goldeye Centre suitable for their needs during any season.

In 1978, the Goldeye Foundation Society (a corporately sponsored non-profit organization) was formed to support the operation of Goldeye Centre. Youth remains the priority today and the Centre has since expanded to include adult groups and activities. Comfortable accommodations and spacious facilities make this an ideal year-round facility for business retreats, youth camps, seminars, team building, workshops, weddings, family reunions, church groups, craft groups and many other organizations.

To take advantage of our facilities, we invite you to purchase a membership and join us in our part of paradise. We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities along with many spectacular sights to see in the surrounding area. (With many more activities and events on the way!)

Special thanks to all our past and present guests. Please feel free to contact us at any time to arrange a tour.
