Ellis Bird Farm and Ellis Cafe
Located in Lacombe County, Ellis Bird Farm is both a working farm as well as a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Mountain Bluebirds, Tree Swallows and other native cavity-nesting birds. Conservation education is also a big part of our offering, with a nature book repository, a Visitor Centre with nature-based exhibits, demonstration Naturescape gardens and educational programs for all ages on a variety of nature-based topics. Drop-in visitors and tour groups are welcome at Ellis Bird Farm during the summer months, when we are open to the public. Enjoy the beautiful gardens, see the world’s largest outdoor collection of bluebird nest boxes, take a tour to our bluebird trail, do a self-guided tour of the site, visit the Visitor Centre and linger in the Ellis Café.
The Ellis Café is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch or afternoon tea. Food in the Ellis Café is made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
